The first time I visited here was in April, 2001.
I moved to Ukraine, Donestk in September, 2001.
My goal was to help the congregation Word of Life with renovating the center they had opened.
The first container with equipment arrived after six months, and contained paint, tiles, a new kitchen and a lot of other equipment for the center.
The heating system was in need of replacement; a new house needed a new heating system.
We needed new washing machines.
Behind the center there is a forest, and the boys at the center have sweated and done an incredible job, cutting down trees and uprooting. Today we are growing vegetables here. Carpentry workshop also.
Everything dates back to 1917, so it needed a real overhaul and proper renovation.
Now, it was time to start this extensive work.
